pyodekantra a demandé: Hi! I saw your James Kidd cosplay and it is awesome! I'm making a Mary Read cosplay and I saw you had the perfect fabric for the end of the sleeves and the collar coat, where did you buy it?

Hi! I ordered a custom fabric for this through Spoonflower.com.  Anyone can do it, but you will need to prep an image file and upload it.  I took a sample from a high resolution image and manipulated it until I could get it to work. Hope that helps!

Thanks for asking and good luck with your project! :D

Alright, thank you very much for your answer and your kindness ^^
Do you still have the pic you used to create the fabric on the website? Because I can’t find a good pic where we see the pattern perfectly

I do still have my reference image and I would be happy to make a reference image post to share the wealth. But be warned that there is no “perfect” reference image. Even with a good look at the pattern, I spent hours photoshopping my sample to make it work as a repeating pattern. Anyone who has ordered fabric through spoonflower can attest to the challenges of making a pattern line up. But I’ll see about sharing my references when I get my costume write-up going. Sound good? :)

Yeah, I know there are no perfect references heh, it can be really complicated lol, I’m making this cosplay for July, so I have to be quick with the fabric I have to buy lol
